Therapy for children 6-12

Online & In-person NEWOTWN, PA

It can be so difficult to see your child struggle.

Sometimes being a child in today’s world can feel overwhelming, unsettling, unmanageable, and uncertain. It can be quite the challenge to regulate emotions, feel connected, and develop a positive sense of self. Children need to have their needs met across all areas- emotionally, socially, and academically. Once that occurs, they are really able to thrive!

Being a child in elementary school is tough these days. Children may experience struggles with a variety of factors like: academics, friendships, trauma, loss, health issues, or family changes. Many children even experience a myriad of these events in life, making it challenging to regulate their emotions and handle situations.

Maybe you’re noticing your child:

  • Struggling with enthusiasm or motivation toward schoolwork, social situations, or activities/hobbies

  • Seems to lack confidence

  • Feels stressed or anxious

  • Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or worried

As a parent, you want your child to be the best version of themselves, but it’s not always easy to know what type of support is needed or how to help. We’ll work together to help your child:

  • Succeed in school and gain academic confidence

  • Increase positive behaviors at home and in school

  • Strengthen social skills and self-esteem

  • Develop self-control, manage frustration, and reduce worry

  • Decrease conflict with family members, teachers and peers

  • Heal from traumatic effects of loss or family changes

  • Recover from emotional distress
